Privacy Policy

Faujii ("we", "us", "the app") is an AI fitness trainer that helps you track workouts, runs, nutrition, and progress. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using Faujii, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect what the app needs to work for you:

• Account: email address and password (passwords are handled securely by our authentication provider and are never visible to us).
• Profile: name, date of birth, phone number, city/state, and gender — only what you choose to enter.
• Health & fitness data: body weight, height, age, goals, fitness level, workout history, strength records, water intake, and the meals/calories you log.
• Location data: when you start a GPS run, we record your route (latitude/longitude points) to calculate distance, pace, and your map. Your completed run routes may also be used to determine territory zones visible to other users as part of the Territory feature. Location is collected only while you are actively running or dismissing a Wake-Up Alarm (to confirm you have physically moved).
• Wake-Up Alarm & device sensors: if you set a Wake-Up Alarm, we use your device's motion sensor (accelerometer) to count the steps required to dismiss it, and your camera to scan your printed QR code — the camera only reads the code and does not capture or store a photo. We keep a log of each alarm (when it triggered and was dismissed, steps taken, and whether movement was confirmed) to show your wake-up streak and stats. On Android, the alarm uses a notification and, while ringing, the phone's alarm sound.
• Photos: if you use food-photo logging or post a photo to a community, that image is uploaded and stored.
• Coach conversations: messages you send to the AI coach.
• Community content: posts, comments, likes, the communities you join, your location (country, state, city) if you choose to add it, and QR invite links you generate.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and run your personalized training, nutrition, and run-tracking experience.
• To generate AI coaching, food analysis, and meal plans tailored to your data.
• To show your progress, streaks, history, and community activity.
• To run the Wake-Up Alarm — counting your steps and matching your scanned QR code so the alarm only stops once you are up and moving.
• To keep your data in sync across your devices (e.g. the app and the website).
• To maintain security and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. AI Processing

To power coaching, food-photo analysis, food search, and meal plans, relevant inputs — such as a food photo, a typed food name, or your chat message together with limited workout/nutrition context — are sent to Google's Gemini API for processing. These requests are made from our secure server; our AI keys are never exposed in the app. Google processes this data under its own terms; we send only what is needed to produce a response and do not send it for advertising.

4. Service Providers

We rely on trusted providers to operate Faujii:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and photo storage.
• Vercel — app hosting and secure server functions.
• Google (Gemini API) — AI coaching and food analysis.
• Map tile provider (CARTO / OpenStreetMap) — to display your run map; this may receive your device's IP address as part of loading map images.

These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes beyond providing their service.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in secure, access-controlled cloud infrastructure and transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Database rules ensure that you can only access your own data. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated personal data directly inside the app (Profile → Delete My Account), or by visiting www.faujii.com/delete-account.html, or by emailing us at the address below. Deletion is permanent and removes all your health, run, diet, and community data. Some records may be retained briefly where required for security or legal reasons.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. You can edit most of your information directly in the app, or contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Children

Faujii is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will remove it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
